How to reach Kolkata By Air: Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal is well connected and
easily accessible from any corner of India and abroad. The Netaji Subhas Chandra
Bose Airport (earlier known Dum Dum airport) has two terminals catering to
domestic and international flights. This airport serves as a transit point for
the South East Asian nations apart from connecting to all the major cities of
India. All the major Airlines like Alitalia, Banglasdesh Biman, Druk Air, Gulf
Air, JAL, Royal Nepal Airline, Thai Airways, Lufthansa, Emirates and Singapore
Airlines etc., have their flights to and from this city.
By Rail: On rail, Kolkata is well connected with all corners of the
country. Howrah, Sealdah, Kolkata and Santragachi are the railway stations of
this city. One can board train to Jammu in the North to Kanyakumari in the
extreme South and Mumbai in the West. Apart from the long distance trains there
are plenty of local trains which connects the city with the nearby areas. Within
the city there is a good network of tram system which is probably the oldest in
India. Kolkata has the uniqueness of running the under-ground Metro through the
heart of the city.
By Road: By road, Kolkata is again well connected by Bus with all major
towns and city of West Bengal and neighbouring States / Countries.

How to reach IIAS – Kolkata Campus
If you are reaching Kolkata by air, then from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
Airport you should avail a pre-paid taxi to Ultadanga towards Khanna
Cinema Hall and reach the Campus which is in the ICMARD Building just
opposite to the No. 15 Bus Terminus.
If you are reaching Kolkata by bus, you need to alight at the No. 15 Bus
Terminus at Ultadanga.
