By Rail: The North-Frontier Railway connects Siliguri to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Assam, and Kolkata. The Station for Siliguri is at New Jalpaiguri, 7 kms from the institute.

By Road: The national highway NH-34 gets converted at Dalkhola to NH-31 connecting Siliguri with Kolkata, and yet another, NH-55A from Siliguri leads to Darjeeling and NH-31A joins Siliguri to Sikkim. Regular bus service connects Siliguri to Metropolitan Kolkata, Dooars, Bhutan, Assam & further North East. IIAS is located approximately 12 kms from Bagdogra Airport, 10 kms from NJP Railway Station & 6 kms from Tenzing Norgay Central Bus Terminus.

How to reach IIAS – Siliguri Campus

One can avail a pre-paid taxi from Bagdogra Airport to the campus near Pintail Village, Siliguri. If you are reaching Siliguri by bus, you need to alight at the Tenzing Norgay Central Bus Terminus at Hill Cart Road at Siliguri. The local conveyances are Auto rickshaws and local minibus which will bring you to the campus. The main train stations in Siliguri where you may alight are Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri. From the station one can avail pre-paid taxi, auto rickshaw to reach the campus.
