Programme Details

Course Contents

Basic Food Production, Basic Food & Beverage Service, Food & Beverage Service Management, Hygiene & Sanitation, Hospitality French, Communication & Soft Skills, Practical, Internship in the Hospitality Industry.

Student enrolled to the Advanced Certificate in Food & Beverage Operations may simultaneously enroll to the Diploma in Food & Beverage Service programme under the Directorate of Distance Education of Madurai Kamaraj University recognized by UGC under MHRD, Govt. of India.

At the end of 1 year successful students will be awarded Advanced Certificate in Food & Beverage Operations from Department of Hotel & Tourism Management of IIAS School of Management.

Students shall appear for the University examinations to be conducted by the DDE, Madurai Kamaraj University leading to award of Diploma in Food & Beverage Service to successful students. Students enrolling for the Diploma in Food & Beverage Service under DDE, Madurai Kamaraj University will be guided by the rules and regulations of the university.

At the end of 12 months, successful students will be awarded Advanced Certificate in Food & Beverage Operations from Department of Hotel &Tourism Management of IIAS School of Management. Students may also opt for dual qualifications (ACFBO and DFBS) by paying the requisite University fee*.
